signs MOU with CIBN

 
 
Lagos Business School recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria (Centre for Financial Studies) to provide customised solutions in the finance and banking sector.  The MOU was signed, on December 18, 2013 by the Dean of LBS, Dr Enase Okonedo and the CIBN President, Dr Segun Aina, at the Bankers House Lagos. 

In his opening remarks, Dr Aina commended LBS’ achievements of setting the pace and leading executive education in Nigeria for over 20 years. He also expressed his anticipation of the impending undergraduate degree in Finance scheduled to begin in 2015.

Dr Aina also emphasised that the relationship between LBS/PAU and the CIBN would culminate in the provision of customised solutions and progressive research, delivered by the very best minds in academia and industry, for the finance and banking sector.

Dr Enase Okonedo described the day as historic.  She commended the president and his team for expediting this visionary partnership in pushing forward this affiliation as part of the solution to upscale the skills of those in the sector. With CIBN turning 50, she noted that its practical experience in banking and finance would serve as a solid foundation for the Centre’s future achievements.
